  • McLaren Bellevue becomes McLaren’s 23rd retail location in North America
  • New showroom is currently under constuction; due to open in 2019
  • Temporary sales and service site now open for business
  • McLaren Bellevue will faciliate further growth of McLaren’s single largest market – North America

McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars, announces its newest retailer – McLaren Bellevue. Operated by OpenRoad Auto Group of Bellevue, Washington,  McLaren Bellevue provides the Pacific Northwest with a local touchpoint for sales and service operations, allowing clients and potential clients in the area easier access to McLaren’s renowned customer service experience.

A new facility for McLaren Bellevue is under construction now and is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2019.  In the meantime, McLaren customers and fans in the region are welcome to visit a temporary showroom operating from:
1882 136th Place Northeast
Bellevue, WA 98005

Tony Joseph, President of McLaren North America, said: “The Pacific Northwest is an important area in the United States that we have not yet been able to properly service. With a deep base of both existing customers and potential customers in the region, we felt that Seattle and the surrounding areas needed a more localized point of sales and service, so that their experience could be expedited and time spent away from their sportscars and supercars minimized.”

As the single largest market for McLaren Automotive, the North American region is poised for further growth with the addition of McLaren Bellevue. Currently available to customers is the diversified Sports Series line up of the 570S, 570S Spider and 570GT, and the Super Series 720S. Those models, combined with the McLaren Senna, McLaren Senna GTR and yet-to-be-debuted HyperGT codenamed BP23 that will begin production in 2018 and 2019 make it a very exciting time for the McLaren brand. Further, the Track22 business plan that outlines future product will see an additional 11 all-new or derivative models debuted by the end of 2022, half of which will feature hybrid powertrains.

Said Christian Chia, President & CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group and McLaren Bellevue, “Despite McLaren’s short history producing road cars, the brand has already established itself as a major player in the luxury sportscar and supercar segment – and we truly feel the best is yet to come. It could not be a better time to join the brand, and we know that our group has the expertise and ability to create the bespoke experiences this discerning clientele requires.

Announced in 2016, the company’s Track22 business plan will see the company invest £1billion in research and development to deliver 15 new cars or derivatives by the end of 2022, of which at least half will be hybrids.

2017 saw the company launch further models in line with Track22 including the second-generation Super Series, the 570S Spider and the McLaren Senna.

To support the development, engineering and manufacture of its range of innovative sportscars and supercars, McLaren Automotive partners with world leading companies to provide specialist expertise and technology. These include AkzoNobel, Kenwood, Pirelli and Richard Mille.
